Issue:
Will Microsoft applications be able to run on Red Hat Linux?
Resolution:

No. Only applications compiled for compatibility with the Linux kernel will run on the Red Hat Linux operating system. However, it is possible to run WINE, an implementation of Windows 3.x and Win32 APIs, to run many DOS and Windows applications.

WINE is included with Red Hat Linux PowerTools and more information about it can be found at http://www.winehq.com

You can also run VMware, which provides you with a virtual machine that will run Linux and other operating systems concurrently. For more information, see http://www.vmware.com
