How do I disable gnome-terminal bell in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5?

This can be achieved by following the steps:

1. Open Terminal

Right click on the desktop, and select Open Terminal, a terminal window will pop up.

2. Select Edit-->Profile, then hightlight the profile which is used when launching a new terminal, and click Edit.

3. In the Genral tag, uncheck Terminal bell.

4. Click Close on Editing Profile window.

5. Click Close on Profiles window.
