Issue:
What does the Windows error "Message: Error retrieving status page: 500 read timeout" mean in Command Center?
Resolution:

This error occurs when the old agent(v3.15.2) is attempting to run Windows 2003 probes.

Check what version of the Windows client that is installed on the host. If version v3.15.2 is installed then select Checks in the "Windows" command group.

The Windows 2003 command group will only work with the rhccAgent for Windows v 4.0. This agent is IP based and does not require a Scout key.

Troubleshooting tool (this can only be done with rhccAgent for Windows v 4.0).

Log into the problem box and point a browser to http://localhost:4545/. This will show a very simple status screen that can be used to verify all the checks are working. This will only work from the same machine for security purposes (the server cannot be hit from another machine with the browser).

If values for the checks in question are returned, then the problem is in the probe.
