Issue:
How does the Red Hat Command Center (RHCC) Auto Update process happen?
Resolution:

The update occurs at the time of the first connection, after auto-update has been enabled and configuration has been pushed to the local scout. Thus, the time in which an individual host would be upgraded would be a function of the number of checks configured against the host as well as it's average check interval.

For all intents and purposes, the hosts generally would be upgraded within a couple of minutes. Expect to see some checks enter an unknown state during the upgrade as the service stops answering requests during the upgrade. Once the upgrade is complete, auto-update should be turned off by Command Center Support and configuration pushed once again, to avoid updating immediately upon the release of the next version.
