Issue:
What is a Person, a Contact Method, a Contact Group and an escalation path in Command Center?
Resolution:

A person is an entity for contact methods. A person also has the ability to login to Command Center.

A Contact Method is the mechanism by which an individual will be contacted in the event that a threshold or state is reached. Contact methods are assigned to a contact group.

A contact group is a way to organize any contact methods into a meaningful schema. Contact groups also serve to define the escalation path of the contact methods. A contact method must be created before creating contact groups.

Within a contact group, the escalation and notification strategies for a given set of contact methods can be defined. Select "escalation" which sends an alert to each contact method in succession after a configured amount of time or select broadcast which sends the alert to everyone in the contact group at the same time. It can also be configured to send alerts to one, all, or none of the configured contact groups.
