Issue:
Does Red Hat support using the qmail SMTP server software with Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
Resolution:
Red Hat does not distribute the qmail SMTP server software with any version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and therefore, cannot provide technical support for use, installation, or compilation of the qmail software under Red Hat Enterprise Linux. The license for the qmail source code unfortunately does not permit distribution of compiled binaries, making it impossible for Red Hat to support or distribute this software.

Red Hat currently distributes and supports two SMTP server software suites for use with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Sendmail and Postfix.

You are welcome to use the qmail SMTP server software on your Red Hat Enterprise Linux server, but if you choose to do so, we cannot provide technical support for any problems you encounter. You will have to contact other parties for support.
