Issue:
Why don't I have any video output on my x86, Itanium or AMD64 system with an NVIDIA chipset?
Resolution:

NVIDIAŽ provides a closed source driver for their graphics cards that support three dimensional acceleration. The standard "nv" driver that works with Red Hat Enterprise Linux will provide two dimensional drivers. Drivers downloaded from NVIDIA's website are not supported by Red Hat Technical Support.

If the system has an NVIDIAŽ chipset, using NVIDIA's driver and have just updated the kernel, problems maybe experienced with the video card, such as not having any video output. To resolve this, please uninstall and install NVIDIA's driver.

The latest NVIDIAŽ chipset kernel drivers are available from http://www.nvidia.com/object/unix.html
