Issue:
Why are the changes to the luns on an EMC SAN not appearing on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux server?
Resolution:

The command powermt display dev=all does not see the luns after adding new ones and taking luns away. The following errors are seen while rebooting:

pci: unable to reserve i/o region
qla: could not configure pci i/o space

This is most likely due to the fact that the current luns were still mounted when taken away. To correct this, disassociate all luns from the Operating System (OS) and reboot the system. Present the new luns and reboot again. The OS, as well as the powermt command above, should see the luns now.
