Issue:
Where do I find documentation to help set up a dial-up account in Red Hat Enterprise Linux or Red Hat Linux?
Resolution:

To configure a modem and a dial-up account, use the Network Administration Tool (redhat-config-network). Refer to the chapter titled Network Configuration in the System Administration Guide for Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 3 or in the Customization Guide for earlier versions of Red Hat Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux for instructions on using this tool.

For instructions on manually configuring PPP interfaces, refer to the chapter titled Network Interfaces in the Reference Guide for the version of Red Hat Linux or Red Hat Enterprise Linux you are using.

These guides are available online at the following URL:

http://www.redhat.com/docs/

NOTE: The guides contain general information. Please use them as a starting point. There are additional articles in the Knowledgebase that offer more detailed information on how to set up and troubleshoot a modem connection to the Internet with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
