Issue:
What are the additional files and directories on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 Update 5 ISO images?
Resolution:

The ISO images for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 Update 5, now contain files/directories such as /image-template, /rr_moved and /RedHat/instimage in the ISO images.

The additional files included are required to support extended attributes and long file names within the optical storage ISO images. This is part of the Rock Ridge extensions to the standard ISO images and should not affect the normal procedures to write ISO images to the discs.

Below is a listing of the directory and file structure of Disc 1:

autorun image-template RedHat RELEASE-NOTES-U3.txt rr_moved
COPYING isolinux RELEASE-NOTES RELEASE-NOTES-U4.txt TRANS.TBL
dosutils README RELEASE-NOTES.ja RELEASE-NOTES-U5.txt
images README.ja RELEASE-NOTES-U2.txt RPM-GPG-KEY

Compare the above listing to an earlier ISO image, from Update 2 Disc 1 to see the difference:

autorun dosutils isolinux README.ja RELEASE-NOTES RPM-GPG-KEY
COPYING images README RedHat RELEASE-NOTES.ja TRANS.TBL
