How do I upgrade my version of Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
Resolution:
If you have a current subscription to any Red Hat Enterprise Linux product, you may download the ISO images for any newly released versions through the Red Hat Network (RHN). Simply log into your account at rhn.redhat.com, select the "Channels" tab, then choose Download Software from the menu on the left hand side of the Software browser window. If you scroll down the list of products you have access to download, you will see a link for all Red Hat Enterprise Linux versions which correspond to your current subscription service level (AS, ES or WS). Click on the product link for the version you wish to download and you will be directed to a page where you can download the ISO images, source disks, etc. associated with that product.

If your subscription is at a Standard or Premium level, you are entitled to one free media kit and may purchase additional media kits for subsequent versions. Please see our Knowledge Base entry on how to request a Red Hat Enterprise Linux media kit.

If you have a download-only Basic subscription, you can purchase a physical media kit for a fee. You may contact Customer Service by dialing 1-888-REDHAT-1 during business hours M-F EST to place your order. Please be sure to have the Red Hat Username used to purchase your subscription handy as it will be needed to place your media kit order.

For more information on how to upgrade your system, please refer to Appendix A: Upgrading Your Current System in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.
