Issue:
I am receiving: "Error logging in with domain administrator account: Program lacks support for encryption type" while trying to join my domain. [Samba]
Resolution:
On the Windows Domain Controller go to Start-->Administrator Tools-->Active Directory Users and Computers.
  1. Click on Users

  2. Right click on Administrator and choose Properties

  3. Click on the Account tab

  4. Select Use DES encryption types for this account

  5. Reset the Administrator account.
