It is important to remember that iSCSI, like other SAN access methods, provides no file locking mechanism. Mounting the same LUN on multiple systems simultaneously with no provision for file locking will cause data corruption! If more than one system needs to access the data on an iSCSI LUN, GFS, NFS, or Samba should be used to properly share the data.
