Issue:
Is it possible to configure a Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 GFS cluster using a 32-bit server and a 64-bit server?
Resolution:

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 GFS is supported on different platforms such as x86, x86_64 (Intel & AMD), and ia64. Its possible to have GFS cluster with mixed server platforms.

However, the 32-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux GFS cluster server is limited to a maximum filesystem size of 16TB . The 64-bit Red Hat Enterprise Linux GFS server can have up to 8 Exabytes.
