Issue:
The rexec command fails with invalid arguement in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3. What's going on?
Resolution:
Currently there is a bug within the rexec binary in Red Hat Enterprise Linux version 3 causes an invalid argument when attempting to use rexec to a Red Hat Enterprise Enterprise Linux version 2.1 machine.

This issue is presently being addressed in Bugzilla ID# 118630 and the listed work around does work.

Until an errata is released the current work around is to use the -a flag with rexec that will not set up an auxiliary channel for standard error from the command, which allows for normal operation.

rexec -a host command
