Issue:
Is the nVidia Quadro4 900 XGL graphics adapter supported under Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3?
Resolution:
Release Found: Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3

Symptom:
I'm operating an nVidia Quadro4 900 XGL graphics adapter. The board seems to be operating normally, but it is not automatically detected and the listed board modules are not an exact match on this model. I know that nVidia uses a unified driver. According to what I've found, nVidia is one of the pre-installed drivers on the system.

Solution:
The XFree86 RPM's that Red Hat ships contains a "generic" Nvidia driver that is supported under the terms of the support agreement. Running as root, type:

redhat-config-xfree86
This will take you to the monitor/graphics card setup; where you can choose an Nvidia Quadro (Generic). Getting specific Nvidia drivers from their website is possible, but those drivers are not covered by Red Hat support.
