Issue:
What is the memory limit for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 on the AMD64 platform?
Resolution:
The maximum supported and tested configuration for Red Hat Enterprise Linux can be found in our Red Hat Enterprise Linux system configuration limits listing.

In theory the maximum amount of memory supported by an AMD64 based system is 2^64 bytes or approximately 16 Exabytes. However, no amount of memory above that reported on the support page is guaranteed to work.
