Issue:
How can I make a boot disk for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 if I do not have a floppy drive?
Resolution:
You can create a boot disk on a CD. In Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3 this can be done with the mkbootdisk utility. For example:
mkbootdisk --iso --device bootdisk.iso 2.4.21-15.0.4.ELsmp
will create the file bootdisk.iso, which you can burn to a CD and boot. Replace 2.4.21-15.0.4.ELsmp with the kernel version you wish to include on your boot disk.
