Issue:
Can I use a Red Hat Enterprise Linux product in an HPC environment?
Resolution:

Yes. Due to its attractive cost, Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS is usually the most appropriate product for use in High Performance Computing environments. In these configurations Enterprise Linux WS is deployed as a compute node on an HPC server system in a "headless workstation" mode. Red Hat is working with its OEM partners to provide packaged hardware/software solutions designed explicitly for HPC deployments.
