What is Canna server and can I safely disable it?
Resolution:
Canna is a Japanese input system. If you do not need Japanese translation services you can safely disable this service. To get past Canna in the boot sequence you can boot into interactive mode by pressing 'I' when prompted shortly after turning on the power. Press 'N' when prompted to start Canna.

To disable the Canna service from starting at every boot, type

# service canna stop
Stopping Canna server: [ OK ]
# chkconfig canna off
