Issue:
Do I update my time-sensitive applications with the SUN java runtime environment packages in conjunction with the US Energy Policy Act of 2005 Daylight Saving Time extension on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3/4?
Resolution:

Red Hat does not ship Sun Java, however, the following URL has the information needed to bring the Java packages to a working revision: http://java.sun.com/javase/tzupdater_README.html

Additionally new issues were found on March 9th 2007 with the Sun jvm:
http://sunsolve.sun.com/search/document.do?assetkey=1-26-102836-1
Users should look into updating their jvm with the provided utility to address these issues.
