Issue:
How can I utilize the management entitlement (Management Module) for an Academic subscription?
Resolution:

The Management Module allows for increased management capabilities and scalability of Linux deployments. Management is an add on feature to a subscription and cannot be soley used for updates. For a complete description of the functionalities of management, see the information at the following URL: https://www.redhat.com/rhn/rhndetails/management/

To utilize a management subscription for academic users, add the Management Module to your systems in Red Hat Network (RHN):

  1. Login at https://rhn.redhat.com/.
  2. Click on the Systems tab in the main navigation bar.
  3. Select the System Entitlements from the menu on the left.
  4. Check the check box and apply the Management Module to all systems by clicking the Set to Management Entitled button.

Note: You must designate all of your systems to management in order to utilize the entitlement.

Under the Base Entitlement column in the System table, you should see Management next to each system.
